Site Plan & Lease Outline Drawing

Written by Robert Tack

A Lease Outline Drawing(LOD) is an accurate drawing of the floor plan of a tenant leased space. This is not to be confused with a site plan, which shows the entire building and where the tenant is located within the building. Both are visual representations of their leased property and how it relates to any adjacent spaces. Often the local permitting agency will require some form of an LOD or a site plan before they will issue an occupancy permit to the tenant. We recommend including both the site plan and LOD as exhibits to the lease.
