A good commercial real estate broker will:

  • Research and find properties that meet the need of the client saving time and energy.

  • Protect client’s property by avoiding costly mistakes.

  • Fully understand the tenant’s business and financials.

  • Reduce risk by finding the right space at the right rental rate.

  • Understand that a superior retail location over the competition increases earnings.

  • Respond to all inquiries quickly saving time.

  • Have a deep understanding of a clients requirements and goals.

  • Have certifications from organizations such as CCIM and experience in their niche of commercial real estate.

  • Be a specialist and have detailed knowledge of market rates, comps, and contacts.

  • Be willing to be proactive on clients behalf even after a lease is signed or building sold.

  • Be patient and follow up with each and every request of client.

  • Respond to all calls or emails from all potential prospects for a space.

  • Create a list and contact potential tenants that would be a good fit for a vacant space.

  • Be a social media advocate of client.
